Each Disability Scholarships studentship is for 4 years and carries a tax-free stipend of €16,000 per year as well as an allowance towards student fees of €5,000 per annum. URC Postdoctoral Research Fellowships Disability Scholarships

The value of donations is set at R175 000 € per year and are valid for a maximum period of 12 months and include all costs of relocation. The Disability Scholarships grants do not benefit and a direction of the exemption shall be requested by the CPU, on behalf of candidates.
Application for renewal for a further year to be considered, but only in competition with new applications. Extensions are not guaranteed

Rules and:

All South Africans and foreign applicants are eligible, but preference is given to applicants who have received doctoral universities will be given other than UCT.
Disability Scholarships Applicants who graduated from UCT at both undergraduate and postgraduate level are not eligible.
Only candidates who are promotion received more than 5 years and are still in academic positions or research are eligible.
There are no restrictions for any discipline or field of research, but applications from other African countries, women and black researchers should be favored.
Applicants who have not yet graduated with the PhD degree must provide proof that the PhD thesis has been submitted by no later than 15 September 2011. Such proof must be accompanied by a statement by the supervisor that the degree is likely to be achieved.
The Disability Scholarships successful candidate will be expected to undertake the agreed research as well as optional but limited teaching duties as part of professional development; however
successful candidates will not be expected to perform any service to the Department of the University of Cape Town in return for the Fellowship.
The URC Postdoctoral Fellowship is considered to be a PRIMARY AWARD and cannot be held in full concurrently with any other award. A maximum of 50% (R87,500) of the value of the award can be held concurrently with any other postdoctoral fellowship(s).
It is crucial that applicants’ research interests and faculty needs are in line with those of the host department.
Successful Disability Scholarships candidates will be required to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the University of Cape Town, and a Memorandum of Understanding with his/her Principal Investigator.

Methodist Health System Nursing Disability Scholarship,USA

Disability Scholarships are available for all levels of nursing education. Applicants should note that awards are made annually by the scholarship committee based on the availability of funds and that this funding will impact the applicant’s tuition reimbursement from MHS. Disability Scholarships Applicants are required to disclose all funding sources and funds may only be applied to tuition, fees and books.

Payment will be made directly to the Disability Scholarships recipient. Although the period covered is for both the Fall and Spring semesters, payments will be made for each semester separately. The Disability Scholarships applicant must report grades at the end of each semester.

The grants Disability Scholarships serve as aspect of the Council’s contribution to the advancement of the social sciences in Africa, and the steady renewal and strengthening of research capacities in African universities, through the funding of primary investigation carried out by postgraduate college students and professionals. Hence, Disability Scholarships candidates whose applications are effective are encouraged to use the assets furnished below the grants to cover the charge of their fieldwork, the acquisition of publications and paperwork, the processing of data which they have collected and the printing of their theses/dissertations.

The CODESRIA Small Grants Programme Disability Scholarships is open to graduate college students and pros currently registered in African universities, and preparing their theses and dissertations in all social science fields and other disciplines involving social or economic analysis. A major challenge for managers and researchers today is to find ways that the oceans food and other services in a sustainable way to identify you in changing climatic conditions and socio-economic. As climate change and high harvest so even more pressure on marine resources, scientists of the future must have the ability to cross combining physical, biological and social / economic sciences, advise appropriate management. Norma is a new Nordic Centre of Excellence, with funding from Nordforsk, on behalf of the High-Level Research Initiative (TRI) and the participating institutions for 2011-2015 to meet this challenge through a unique program primary research. 45 searches of 10 Nordic institutions will cooperate in the training of 15 new graduate students and five postdoctoral students in joint projects examining the biological, economic and social change on fisheries resources in the Nordic region, with an emphasis on cod.

The NorMER partnership includes teams led by Nils Chr. Stenseth at the University of Oslo, Carl Folke of the Stockholm Resilience Centre in Sweden, Erik Bonsdorff at Åbo Adakemi University in Finland, Marko Lindroos at the University of Helsinki in Finland, Markus Meier at the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute in Sweden, Guðrún Marteinsdóttir at Marine Academic Research in Iceland, Eyðfinn Magnussen at the University of Faroe Islands, Helle Siegstad at the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources, Øyvind Fiksen at the University of Bergen in Norway, and Thomas Kiørboe at the Technical University of Denmark. Each PhD project will be supervised and based at a single institution, but will require a mandatory visit to a partner institution of up to 4 months for co-supervision (see the detailed descriptions for each project for details). The Postdoc positions are additionally required to collaborate with multiple partner institutio.

PhD Disability Scholarships Studentship in Comparative Law and Linguistics

English legal methodology in the 21^st century from the perspective of German legal methodology

The PhD will examine English legal methodology and terminology against the comparative background of the German approach. The PhD will start from the premise that the genuinely English approach to legal methodology, both in academia and in practice, has not changed significantly since Gustav Radbruch's research in 1947, despite the continental influence in EU law and the need to adapt to a more continental approach to comply with EU parameters. It will seek to verify or falsify this premise by analysing the writings of academics as well as the case law and legislation to find out whether the traditional approach is still prominent or whether a shift to conceptualisation as a first step to the "elegance of the clear contour" (Radbruch) and ultimately codification is likely to happen anytime soon.

As well as current entry requirements, core qualifications expected of the candidates will be:

Clinical Psychologist Disability Scholarships

We would like to invite applications for the post of Clinical Psychologist. This position will be fixed term until December 2012 and is a full-time post.

The successful candidate will work in the OASIS Prison In-reach team, a new service for prisoners at high risk of developing psychosis. The aim of the project is to roll-out an early detection and early intervention service in Her Majesty's Prison Brixton.

The new clinical team will work closely with the OASIS community team, with the in-reach psychiatric mental health and within the existing time structure of the prison. Her Majesty's Prison Brixton is a category B local prison for male prisoners aged 21 or over who are on remand (going to trial) or sentenced to less than two years. The prison has an average daily population of 798 and receives on average 20 new receptions each day, about 50% are resident in SLaM.

Prisoners resident in SLaM aged 21-35 will be screened during their first week induction to prison using the screening instrument developed in our previous study.

Prisoners who meet criteria for the at risk mental state will be provided with a well-established intervention package which is routinely used in the OASIS service in the community. Treatment will start in prison and the same clinician will continue seeing the prisoner when they are released into the community. Clients will be followed up for a period of 2 years after the initial assessment.

The successful candidate will also be encouraged to develop their own research interests.

Starting salary £40,313 pa (inclusive of £2,323 pa London Allowance).
